A direct descendant of a pirate, Michael was half French-Canadian, half American, and all Texan. He was a devoted father and loving husband above all. He loved cooking for his friends and family and enjoying outdoor adventures and all sports with his boys and friends. Michael will always be remembered as a coach and friend to everyone.
Michael was talented and widely regarded globally as one of the top, executive search consultants in the oil industry.
He will be missed dearly by his wife, Lauren, his boys, Holden and Sawyer, his parents, Martine and Steve, his brother, John-David, and his niece, Elliot. He was predeceased by his grandparents on both sides.
In lieu of flowers, please consider supporting two of Michael’s favorite community organizations:
He was a huge supporter of his wife’s non-profit work at Independence Initiative to empower marginalized students to become academically independent.

He was a beloved coach and supporter of the Spring Branch Memorial Sports Association where he lead and mentored his sons and many other players.

In lieu of flowers, Lauren is asking for donations to our non-profit, Independence Initiative. Michael was so proud of Lauren for starting a non-profit to help disadvantaged youths achieve academic independence.
